Download of the Day: Uppity (Firefox)

Posted on November 21, 2006. Filed under: Firefox |

Windows/Mac/Linux (Firefox): The Uppity Firefox extension acts like the the Up button in Windows Explorer, navigating up one directory on a web page.

If you often find yourself deleting sections from the end of a URL, you can just click on the Uppity button and move up one directory at a time, or click on the arrow next to it and choose the parent directory you want to go to.

After you install Uppity, it doesn’t show up anywhere by default. If you want to use it on your toolbar, right-click your toolbar and select Customize; find the Uppity button, then drag and drop it to your toolbar. If you don’t want to take up more space on your toolbar, you can add Uppity to the statusbar by going to the Uppity options and turning it on in the statusbar. Uppity is free, works wherever Firefox does. Thanks Lovedeep!
